Seat Belt Legislation
Passengers travelling on our vehicles are legally bound to wear the seat belts provided, signs on our vehicles are displayed (as shown) therefore our driver has no obligation to announce this instruction at the start of a journey.
Passenger information
- All passengers are requested to remain seated during their journey with the lap belt / three point seat belts securely fastened whilst the vehicle is in motion.
- Passengers are asked not to get up from their seat to disembark until the vehicle has become stationary.
- Lap belts / three point seat belts are fitted in all vehicles as required by law. The onus for using them lies with the individual and is mandatory. Should the Gardai or a Road Safety Authority representative board the vehicle you could be fined.
- The lap belts provided on these vehicles are not suitable to secure a child seat
- The courier seat is not available for use by passengers only adults in charge of the group.
- Passengers are requested not to distract the driver whilst driving.
- Smoking is not permitted at any time.
- No food or drink to be consumed on the vehicle at any time unless otherwise agreed by contractual request.
- Animals are not permitted to travel on our vehicles, although an exception will be made to accommodate a guide dog.
- Individual air and lighting controls are located above each seat for passenger comfort during the journey
- For your comfort, large items of luggage should be placed in the hold underneath and personal items such as bags or holdalls stowed in the overhead compartments of the vehicle and not placed in the gangway and/or adjacent to the emergency exit. Care should be taken when retrieving such items.
- The driver of any of our vehicles is authorised to instruct any passenger’s who are causing a nuisance to others to disembark from the vehicle. Such behaviour includes consumption of alcohol, drunken behaviour, undue noise from any instrument / radio / recording device, threatening behavior and excessive use of mobile phones.
